Originally posted by qinjiayu at 2005-10-5 20:34卡布,我不会对CASINI生气,没必要。

KYOCERA to Release a New Dirt-Free Module in September
A New PV Module Perfect for Flat-Mounted or Low-Angled Module InstallationsAugust 04, 2005
Kyocera Corporation (Chairman and CEO: Yasuo Nishiguchi) is pleased to announce that the Solar Energy Operation is releasing the Dirt-Free Module, which more easily sheds airborne dust and dirt and thereby stays cleaner than traditional modules. The product is scheduled to be released in Japan in September.
<Background>
PV systems have been installed on flat-surface such as flat roofs and folded-plate roofs with lock seams, at a fixed angle of inclination, specifically around 30 degrees, to maximize possible sunlight received. Recently, more and more PV systems are mounted at a lower angle to enable installation of as many PV modules as possible on the entire roof or to improve the overall look. With this type of installation, the angle of inclination is about four to five degrees on flat roofs and is equivalent to that of the roof inclination on folded-plate roofs with lock seams.
PV modules installed at a lower angle are more likely to accumulate dirt and dust, which prevent light from penetrating to the module, to thus generate electricity. Rain washes airborne dust off tilted PV modules. Flat-mounted PV modules gather more dust, and when it rains dirt puddles on the surface of each module.
Kyocera has recently developed the Dirt-Free Module. This product has three hollows at each of the three positions on each of the four sides of the aluminum frame that surrounds of the PV module. These hollows serve as channels through which dirt and dust on the glass surface are easily carried off by rainwater.
<Features>
The hollows provided on the aluminum frame that surrounds the PV module enables dust and dirt that has accumulated on the glass surface of the module to be removed by rainwater. With these hollows, the module is less likely to be soiled or to have dust accumulated on its surface.
The new module is especially suited to facilities with flat-surface roofs on which PV modules are mounted at low angles of inclination, such as factories, warehouses and office buildings.
Kyocera will be adding the Dirt-Free Module to its standard lineup of solar power systems for flat roofs. Through the extensive sales channels owned by its sales subsidiary, Kyocera Solar Corporation, the Company will be active in proposing this new product to the housing market as well as to the industrial and public-sector market.

October 5, 2005
Newark, New Jersey The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU) officially announced the launch of the New Jersey Clean Power Choice Program -- a voluntary program that will give retail customers the option of selecting "clean energy" through a sign-up option on their utility bills.
The New Jersey Clean Power Choice Program is the first statewide program of its kind where multiple utilities and clean power marketers will participate in a joint effort with the state to give consumers access to the regional market for renewable energy. The program will began on October 1 in PSE&G and JCP&L territories and expand to Atlantic City Electric and Orange & Rockland utilities in April 2006.
Under the statewide program, electric customers who wish to pay a slight premium to encourage the development and expansion of renewable energy sources -- like wind and solar -- will be able to subscribe to the program and select from multiple clean power products and marketers, without having to switch their supplier.
The average additional cost for customers will be between $7.00 and $20.00 per month, depending on the product chosen and the amount of electricity a homeowner uses. Each choice offers a slightly different mix of renewable energy resources such as solar, wind, low-impact hydro or landfill gas.
"The Clean Power Choice Program is a significant step towards a brighter energy future in New Jersey," said Acting Governor Richard J. Codey, who recently designated October as "Clean Energy Month" in New Jersey. "Given the state of today's natural gas market, an emphasis on clean energy initiatives and energy efficient solutions is more important than ever and giving Garden State ratepayers the option of helping to support clean power alternatives is a valuable and worthwhile initiative."
The New Jersey Clean Power Choice Program is the first statewide program of its kind where multiple utilities and clean power marketers will participate in a joint effort with the state to give consumers access to the regional market for renewable energy. Participating electric distribution companies include PSEG; JCP&L; Atlantic City Electric and Orange & Rockland; clean power suppliers include Green Mountain Energy; Community Energy; Sterling Planet; and Jersey-Atlantic Wind, LLC.
"Most responses to rising natural gas prices have focused on increasing the natural gas supply. What has been almost entirely neglected is the role that wind, solar, and other renewable energy resources can play in reducing the demand for and price of natural gas," said NJBPU President Jeanne M. Fox. "The Clean Power Choice Program is an exciting new program that allows consumers to decide which energy sources are right for them."
