The other secanrio is that on open today it just drops 300 pips in no time and has NO retrace. The chances of this are slim . but if it does I would just cut the loss ( my stops for swing trading gbpjpy on a 2 hour are 200 pips)

Price Action and S/R Levels. I am now using the Gann hi/lo (10) and QQE (5) for trend direction. When using Price Action with the trend the higher the probablity these trades become. Meaning : Bullish Price Action in an uptrend. Bearish Price Action in a downtrend.

Daily, 4 hour and hourly: Gann and QQE bearish. QQE on the hourly was bullish but bearish on the 4 hour.

Only taking the bottom of this Inside Bar (candle) on the 4 hour.

Enter short at 194.50 Result half at +153 pips other half +71 pips.

4 hour gann and QQE: bearish

1 hour gann choppy and 1 hour QQE bullish.

4 hour gann: Bearish. QQE turning Bullish.

1 hour: (almost perfect Aus Strategy), Gann turns bullish. QQE bullish.

Result. Exited whole position before news for +463 pips

1 hour at the gann and S/R level of 196.69. QQE neutral but below the 50 line.

I will only take the break on the bottom of the Inside Bar at 195.57.

1 hour gann turned bullish. May take a hard break long off the S/R level of 196.69 with a tight s/l.

Higher time frames still bearish.

Update: Price broke the 196.69 and then fell back. Weak break for long trade. I need a strong break to go long.

My 1st target is half of my postion 50 to 100 pips. The other half to b/e or depending on Price Action on the hourly.

Result: half postion +96 pips. Other half move to b/e.

Pin Bar on hourly. Price broke down from the Pin Bar and closed my b/e half at +64 pips.

Theme of my trades is to keep my loses small (or to zero) and giving my trades a chance to run for long term profits.

Yes, I use the same rules for GU with gann and qqe. I also use Price Action as a guide force especially on higher time frame, because higher time frames Rule.

Although the gann and qqe show a down trend, the Daily Pin Bar (trend reversal formation) can not be ignored. Like Karmo, Fibs on higher time frame can show future movement.
I should have shown more patience (sorry karmo) and waited to enter at exactly 1.9757 (fib 61.8) instead of the 1.9770. Price kissed that fib and trend line on the money and started north.Attached Images





I've locked in at break even on my 1.9770 entry. I may add to my position at on a hard break and then support of the 1.9880 (top of the Pin Bar)

4 hour chart shows a spinning top (an indecision formation). A break down at the bottom of this candle, I will take half position in profits and other half will stay at break even.

ok, goodmorning all, morning jaroo. if u look back i posted my setups 4 trade yesterday and some bearish butterflies on Aus thread yesterday. As u guys can see GJ broke my range hard to d down side. i was so busy trading dat i couldnt make posts.made lots up pips. this is an updated chart. look at how GJ bounced up and down up fib lines to d pip. LOL. di is easier than pooing.

I'll stay with my 1.9770 and 1.9885 a little longer. Daily gann may stay broken to the upside. I have taken some profits off the table.

They look the same, don't they. One is a 4 hour and the other is a Daily at different times, different pairs. This shows the power of Price Action (Pin bars) on trend lines.

I'm back

Let's get down to analysis, here's a daily GJ chart, after the big fall to 192.40, we can see price has retraced all the way back up to 78.6% where we also had the daily 50ema and the upper TL of the Daily downtrend channel, 205 was also a strong S/R on my chart. Now looking at the daily QQE, this past friday we got the 1st candle closed below the Daily Gann hilo, it indicates to me that there is more downside coming soon, even a new low is possible.
