Man, you are fast!  Thanks!  Any user manual for amibroker?  I need to learn how to code it so that I can convert my indicators into amibroker.   BTW, can amiquote be used to retrieve historical data from yahoo or MSN?  Or it is only for data vendor.

I got the answer for my questions already by install Amibroker.  It looks nice.  How did you get all stock symbols imported from all three exchanges (NYSE, AMEX, NASDAQ) without manually typing them in and use yahoo EOD data download?  Is there anyway to group stocks into sectors automatically?

You should join Amibroker Yahoo group as this kind of questions have been asked and answered many times. The forum is very good where there are many nice people willing to offer hands.

Amiquote has already had configuration to fetch US stocks from Yahoo. You may find templates for US stocks at AB's Yahoo site (I can't remember how to get there) which will save you from manually punching in those symbols.

今传个文件，是AB的版块方面的，安装后在市场设置中重新选择一下，YAHOO行业分类就自动有了，但代码中没有包括最近的新股，要自己加进去。

Not sure if it is good though as there are pros and cons, you have to figure it out yourself :). But I couldn't finish it in three days.

The ami software 4.60 posted does not work after one day.  The first day I installed it i can save etc.. I even downloaded historical data from yahoo.  HOwever, the next day after I restarted my PC, it became unregistered version.  What is going on?  anyone?  Thanks!

Unregistered version can't save files, but can be used anyway. Make sure your timezone is inline with the data, if not sure, change to 24hours setting.

I also met such problems when I used 4.60. No idea how to fix it. Then I had to return to 4.50 which works very stable.

How good is the Amibroker's powerscan add-on?  I just start to learn AFL and wonder if this add-on will save me sometime to get a scan going.  Is there any collections of Ami formula that I can down load and modify from?  thx!

It works!  Just unzip it to Metastock.
